For Raising Funds from Thai to Laos Dam Victims

On August 2, 2018 - King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) joined with Thai-Lao Association for Friendship, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize fundraising concerts “Friendship Mind From Thai to Laos” and get the donation from Thai to help Laos of dam disaster. The concert started with the Highlights of the legendary singer, Jum – Nareekajang Kantamas and ended with the classical music from KMITL brand and from former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai. The concert was honored by His Excellency Sang Suktawong, Ambassador of Laos PDR to Thailand As a delegate to gain the donation for Loas.  

Prof. Dr. Suchatvee Suwannawat, President of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), said that King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), in cooperation with the Thai-Lao Association for Friendship, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the concert “Friendship Mind From Thai to Laos” to sing for support for restoration of the damaged areas and houses. KMITL music engineering band and club with beautiful melodies musical activities of the impressive violin solo, Thai-Isan-Loa music, and the legendary singer, Jum – Nareekajang Kantamas who joined the concert. Moreover, the highlight of the event was the ex-prime minister Chuan Leekpai, who honored to represent and showed the saxophone showing In His Majesty the King’s composer song "love" to be representative of Thai people to present the heartfelt friendliness from Thailand to encourage the neighboring Loa to fight against the suffering disaster. 

Lately, KMITL has offered the opportunity for the public to donate and help the flood victims in neighboring countries by transferring donation into the KMITL’s bank account. At the event, it also opened to the public to help fund the Lao neighborhood and it has been accepted and well supported by the public and private companies, such as CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited, Betagro Public Company Limited, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Banpu Public Company Limited, Team Consultant Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL., and Mitr Phol Group, etc.. Absolutely, the overall donation amount has appeared at 5,038,888 baht and such the fund has been directly sent to the hands of His Excellency Sang Suktawong, Ambassador of Laos PDR. As a delegate, Prof. Dr. Suchatchawan concluded.
